It's hard to believe that it's almost 9 months since I entered the hallowed halls of Trinity Consultants (and yes, I'm just a tad behind in attending to my blog). In reflecting on my first day, I was uncerimoniously tasked to write content for a client deliverable. Of course it was in an area and for an industry with which I was well acquainted. And just imagine where it led...

The project continued to pique my interest and provide unending (good) challenges. As part of the core team, we developed the client's overall GHG strategy, and program components and initiatives to support the strategy. My business and sustainability/climate change program consulting experience was put to the test. At times it was challenging as the client is located in the Middle East. However, having worked in prior lives on international assignments, that experience served our team and the client very well. The client tasked us mightily, but we were up to it. I was surprised at the number of rabbits we were able to pull out of our collective hats to meet the challenge.

Then having concluded the development work, we needed to facilitate a workshop with the client in their backyard to explain, defend and discuss what we developed; thus, a road trip to the Middle East. While I've always enjoyed traveling, long distance trips present unique challenges. This wasn't my longest (China, >20 hrs) or my quickest (US/London and return in 24 hrs). But the trip was well worth the effort, to learn a bit more about my travel colleague, satisfy a client's business needs, and see a new part of the world.

So far, the challenges (good) abound with Trinity and I'll reflect on further experiences in my future posts.  Ever Forward!
